Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The available information on the dissociation constant for 1H-Benzotriazole show a value in the range of 8.4. Therefore, it is expected, that under most environmental conditions the non-charged form of 1H-Benzotriazole prevails. The measured partition coefficient for n-octanol/water is about 22 (log Kow 1.37). Thus, only a low potential for bioaccumulation is assumed.

In addition, Yao et al (2018) examined the potential bioaccumulation of chemicals in personal care products in two Chinese rivers. Based on the analytical measurements in about 80 fishes from different species a mean log BAF of 0.73 L/kg for 1H-Benzotriazole was calculated.
