Description of key information

The partition coefficient of the test item was determined to be 9.09, log10 Pow 4.96 (standard deviation 2.67 x 10^4) at 22.3 ± 0.5°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):
9.09
at the temperature of:
22.3 °C

Additional information

Butler and White (2010) was selected as the key study for this data requirement. The partition coefficient of the test item was determined in a GLP compliant study in accordance with the OECD guideline 107. The octanol-water partition coefficient was determined using the shake-flask method. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered adequate for assessment as a stand alone study.

A calculated partition coefficient value has been provided as a supporting study using EPIWIN estimations. The log kow is estimated to be 17.2.
