Description of key information

The density of the test material was determined in a GLP compliant study conducted in accordance with the OECD guideline 109, using the pycnometer method. The density of the test material was determined to be 966 kg/m^3 at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The relative density of the test material is 0.978 at 20 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:

Additional information

The study Butler & White (2010) was selected as the key study for this data requirement. The study was performed in compliance with GLP and in accordance with the OECD guideline 109. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered reliable and adequate for assessment as a stand alone study.

Supporting studies included information taken from 3 MSDS's from Merck, Gelest and Atofina, densities reported were 0.98 g/cm3 at 20 °C, 0.961 (no temperature given) and 0.96-0.98 at 20°C respectively. There is very limited information on methods for these endpoints.
