Description of key information
It was concluded from read across on data available for DL-Ethylpanthenol that D-Panthenol is hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9.

Read across approach was performed on data available for the chemically related substance DL-Ethylpanthenol. For justification of read across please refer to the attachment in IUCLID5 section 13. At pH 4, 7 and 9, a decrease in concentration < 10 % was observed after 5 days (half-life time > 1 year). Hence it was concluded that D-Panthenol is hydrolytically stable at pH 4, 7 and 9.
