Endpoint:
toxicity to terrestrial plants: short-term
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely

Description of key information

No terrestrial plant toxicity studies were available for DVB/EVB.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No terrestrial toxicity studies were available for DVB/EVB. The predicted no effect concentration (PNEC) for soil was derived from the PNEC for freshwater using the equilibrium partitioning method. Using this PNECsoil, the risk characterization shows that the PEC/PNECsoil ratio for the terrestrial environment is clearly <1, indicating no need for further information and testing.
