The primary fatty amine ethoxylates are readily biodegradable and are rapidly biotransformed by fish liver S9 fractions it is therefore unlikely that they will accumulate in the food chain. Since there is a log Kow value measured with the slow stirring method according to OECD 123, this value is used to predict the bioaccumulation potential. Based on this log Kow value of 3.6, the calculated log BCF is 2.04 (BCF = 110 L/kg ww; EpiSuite v4.0).
The calculated BCF value
of 110 indicates that Bis
(2-hydroxyethyl) tallow alkylamine
has a low to moderate bioaccumulation potential.
