Conclusion

The flash point of the test item was 133.0°C ± 1.0°C (corrected value).

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point of 133.0°C ± 1.0°C (corrected value) at 101.3 kPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 133.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa (ISO 3679)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
133 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point of 133.0 ± 1.0°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the registered substance using a rapid equilibrium closed-cup method in accordance with ISO 3679 Test Method and in compliance with GLP. The result is considered to be reliable and is selected as key study.

In available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, flash points in the range 65-115°C were reported for the substance.

A measured flash point of 133°C at 1013 hPa and predicted boiling point of 280°C at 1013 hPa indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
