Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Run number 3 revealed a relative density of 0.920 and run number 2 a relative density of 0.895. Run number 1 revealed a relative density of 0.949.

An initial test run (run 1) was completed using 3.5 g of the test material with 19.7 g of immersion liquid. A result of 830 kg/m3 was determined. The results of run 1 and run 2 were not within the 5% limit of repeatability therefore a third run was performed which showed agreement with run 2. Run 1 was considered erroneous and it is believed that this may have been due to sampling of the material. As testing had been performed in a glove box under a nitrogen atmosphere due to the hygroscopic nature of the material, sampling is believed to be the most likely reason for the discrepancy between run 1 and runs 2 & 3.

Conclusions:
The relative density of the substance was determined to be 0.908 at 20°C.

Description of key information

The relative density of the test substance was determined in a GLP study according to test method EC A.3 to be 0.908 at 20 °C, following the pycnometer method (Younis, 2013).

Relative density at 20C:
0.908
