Additional information

The derivation of a PNEC is not possible. Justification: Compounds of the Disazo Pyrazolone Pigments were tested in concentrations far above their water solubility. No effects were observed in any of the test systems. For example, no effects were determined in a chronic reproduction test on the sediment dwelling oligochaete Lumbriculus variegatus at a nominal limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg sediment dry weight and in a chronic reproduction test on the earthworm Eisenia fetida at a nominal limit concentration of 1000 mg/kg soil dry weight. Consequently, no LOEC, NOEC, or ECx - values can be calculated. Since this data is a prerequisite to estimate a PNEC it is not possible to derive this value.

As for the Disazo Pyrazolone Pigments neither any ecotoxicity nor mammalian toxicity had been found, a PNECoral can not be derived.

Conclusion on classification

As no toxicity for any tested species of algae, aquatic invertebrates, fish, microorganisms, sediment organsims and soil organisms could be found, neither in acute nor in chronic tests, no environmental classification is proposed.
