Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

100

Additional information

A scientifically justified data waiver can be applied.

However, rudimentary data on adsorption/desorption exists:

A calculated/estimated Koc, originally from SRC, has been referred to in the HSDB data base (peer reviewed data).

In the data source no information is delivered about the temperature for which the Koc of 100 applies. The Koc value is in line with an expected low adsorption as the substance has a log10 Pow of 1.21.

The info in the HSDB data base is as follows:

Soil Adsorption/Mobility:

The Koc of diethyl carbonate is estimated as 100 (SRC), using a log Kow of 1.21 (Hansch et al.) and a regression-derived equation (Lyman et al.). According to a classification scheme (Swann et al.), this estimated Koc value suggests that diethyl carbonate is expected to have high mobility in soil (SRC).
