Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Will burn reluctantly. Use foam extinguishers for large

fires, dry powder or carbon dioxide for small fires.

Pyrolysis products consist mainly of low molecular weight

aliphatic hydrocarbons and ketones plus toluene and xylene

(and possibly phosphorus pentoxide smoke at high

temperatures?).

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Sweep or vacuum up. Dispose in an authorised land-fill

site.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery of lightly contaminated material is possible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Unlikely to decompose. The substance should not be

discharged to the aquatic environment.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Only partly combustible; ash relatively harmless. Waste gas

treatment to remove phosphorus oxides should be fitted.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Stable in water, but of low solubility.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from formulations is not possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable, no known hazardous effects.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance can be disposed with domestic waste.
