Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes

Fire-fighting measures
sulphur oxides together with some soot and hydrogen
chloride gas. A self-contained breathing apparatus should
be worn. Suitable extinguishing agents are water spray,
carbon dioxide, foam and dry powder
Accidental release measures
containers for disposal by incineration. Absorb solution
spills using suitable agents (eg sand, earth, etc), sweep
up and transfer to waste containers for disposal by
incineration.
Handling and storage
exposure. Respirators satisfying BS 2091B or DIN 58645 part
2 (PREN 146) should be worn if there is a danger of dust
inhalation.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. Waste gas treatment should be used to
remove nitrogen and sulphur oxides and hydrogen chloride
gas.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is not readily biodegradable but is of low
aquatic toxicity.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from articles is not possible.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Articles dyed with the substance may be disposed of as
domestic waste.
