Additional information

The acute toxicity of the test substance to fish was determined in a GLP-compliant test according to the OECD Guideline 203 (CG, 1985). In this study, zebra fish (Danio rerio; 10 per concentration) were exposed to nominal concentrations of 0, 316, 562 and 1000 mg /L for 96 hours under static conditions. Analytically determined test item concentrations in the test media varied in the range from 101.5-102.9 at the start and 102.9-105.5% of nominal at the end of the experiment. No abnormal behavior of the test fish was observed during the 96-hour exposure period. Deaths were observed only at the highest concentration tested (1/10 dead after 72-h and 6/10 dead after 96-h). Based on these results the 96-hour LC50 value was determined to be 920 mg/L.
