Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The substance is unlikely to strongly adsorb to soil / sediment, due to its partition coefficient value and associated high water solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VIII, Section 9.3.1. this study need not be conducted if based on the physicochemical properties the substance can be expected to have a low potential for adsorption (e.g. the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient).

The partition coefficient (log Kow) value for the substance is < -6.2, indicating that the substance has a low potential for adsorption. In addition, the water solubility of the substance is very high, indicating that the substance would dissolve into aqueous media rather than become adsorbed into soil / sediment media.
