Additional information

Acute tests on all three trophic levels were performed to examine the aquatic toxicity of the tested substance. No effects towards fish and algae could been detected up to the highest test concentrations of 100 mg/L (CIBA - GEIGY 1993). The EC50 value on microorganisms was greater than 100 mg/L (CIBA - GEIGY 1992).

The EC50 value of the test substance in Daphnia magna was found to be 84 mg/L, the result was verified by analytical monitoring (CIBA - GEIGY 1993). Since Daphnia magna was the most sensitive species to the test substance, the compound is considered to be acutely harmful to aquatic organisms.
