DMIPA is considered as toxic to algae.

EC50 for freshwater algae:
5.38 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
0.93 mg/L

Additional information

The toxicity of DIMETHYLISOPROPYLAMINE (DMIPA) to Scenedesmus subspicatus was assessed according to Directive 79/831/EEC, Annex V, Part C during 48h (study report, 1989). ErC50_72h and ErC10_72h have been shown to be 5.38 mg/L and 0.93 mg/L, respectively.
