Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The acute toxicity of DIMETHYLISOPROPYLAMINE (DMIPA) to Daphnia magna was assessed according to Directive 79/831/EEC, Annex V, Part C during 48h (Study report, 1989). When pH was not neutralised, EC50_48h has been shown to be 38.4 mg/L when not neutralised and > 62.5 mg/L when pH was adjusted. Therefore it is probable that the alkalinity of the test medium caused by the substance at higher concentrations is also responsible for the mortality.
