Additional information

Relevant physicochemical properties of the substance m-BP recently have been studied in accordance with the relevant guidelines (such as OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals or EU Methods) (Sidney et al. 2008). The tests revealed that m-BP is a solid under normal environmental conditions exhibiting a slightly higher density than water, a very low vapour pressure, very low water solubility and a moderate n-octanol water partition coefficient. The substance melts at around 145 °C and subsequently decomposes. It is not flammable, explosive or oxidising. The self-ignition temperature is above 400 °C.
