Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The auto-ignition temperature (liquids and gases) was reported to be 158 ± 5°C at 95.79 - 103.93 kPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
158 °C

Additional information

In the key study the auto-ignition temperature (liquids and gases) was reported to be 158 ± 5 °C, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A15 Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.

The room temperature was not recorded during one of the days of testing. The room temperature in the laboratory concerned is typically in the range 20 to 23 °C, and as the test temperatures are considerably higher, the room temperature does not have any significant effect on the test.

Due to a failure in the instrument used to record the atmospheric pressure, the atmospheric pressure was not recorded. A review of historical atmospheric pressure data over a twelve month period shows the atmospheric pressure as 95.79 to 103.93 kPa at the testing facility.
