In accordance with column 2 of REACH annex IX, further terrestrial toxicity testing (required in section 9.4.1 to 9.4.3) is not necessary as direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely. The chemical safety assessment does not indicate the need to investigate further the effects of the substance and/or degradation products on terrestrial organisms. In addition, an exposure is not to be expected , as no sludge application from STP on soil will be done and aerial deposition is negligible.
