Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Reliable acute studies based on international guidelines or on calculation methods are available for the three aquatic trophic levels (fish, algae and aquatic invertebrates) to assess the toxicity of test substance Reaction mass of beta-phellandrene and d-limonene and l-limonene.

Among the data available, a toxic effect was observed for these three aquatic trophic levels. The most sensitive species appears to be aquatic invertebrate daphnia magna, with a 48-h EC50 value estimated between 1.7 and 2.3 mg/L (loading) under experimental conditions, according to a reliable experimental study.

Moreover, based on calculation methods, the 96-h LL50 for Reaction mass of β-phellandrene and d-limonene and l-limonene to the fish Danio rerio is 4.1 mg/L and the 72-h ErL50 to the algae P. subcapitata is 3.3 mg/L. For these calculations, the algorithms used were based on QSAR models which have been validated to be compliant with the OECD recommendations for QSAR modeling (OECD, 2004).
