Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusions:
In the course of Water solubility study 10-06422 according to EU A.6 / OECD 105 test method, it was realized that the test item can be mixed in water without development of gas.As no gas is developed when the test item gets in contact with water, the determination of the Flammability (EEC-directive 92/69/EEC, A.12 (Contact with water)) is not applicable.
Executive summary:

The flammability is determined according the test method A.12. "Flammability (contact with water)" as described in Directive 92/69/EEC (Official Journal of the European Communities L383A; The practical procedure is described according to in-house test method VTA(S)23N96020.05

Additional information

In the course of Water solubility study 10-06422 according to EU A.6 / OECD 105 test method, it was realized that the test item can be mixed in water without development of gas. As no gas is developed when the test item gets in contact with water, the determination of the Flammability (EEC-directive 92/69/EEC, A.12 (Contact with water) ) is not applicable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

For the definition of flammability , REACH refers to regulation 67/548. According to this regulation flammability is not required for liquids if the flash point is above 60°C. The flash point of this substance is 118.5°C, well above the limit of 60°C.

No classification for flammability is warranted under 67/548/ECC or Regulation 1272/2008
