The HPLC method using soil-adsorption-reference data was applied for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of 4,4'-DDS. At a neutral pH and 35 deg. C, the estimated Koc and log Koc values (soil) of the test substance are respectively 57 and 1.76.
