No significant thermal events were noted in the test.

The test sample was cooled to a temperature of -35 but freezing has been reported as <-20C due to the susceptibility of the technique to supercooling.

A cyclic cooling/ heating programme was used as a precaution and the detrmination repeated three times.

The sponsor advised that the substance may be incompatible with metals , therefore an inert (gold) crucible was sourced and used for this study.

The freezing temperature of the registered substance was determined to be less than -20 deg C
Executive summary:

The freezing temperature of the substance was assessed according to OECD 102 using the Differential Scanning Calorimetry. The calorimeter was calibrated using an indium standard and determined the freezing temperature of the substance to be <-20 deg C.
