Description of key information

No carcinogenicity data are currently available. Nevertheless, from the data available for the reaction of mass of cerium dioxide and zirconium dioxide and for its constituents cerium dioxide and zirconium dioxide, it can be concluded that carcinogenicity testing is not required as these substances are not mutagenic and no evidence of pre-neoplastic lesions is observed in the available repeated dose toxicity studies.
