Description of key information

The Bioaccumulation potential was investigated experimentally in Cyprinus carpius (CITI 1992). The uptake was studied over 6 weeks and determined by analysing the homogenised fish material. Furthermore the BCF was calculated with EPIWIN. The bioaccumulation potential was tested at two concentration levels:
BCF at 0.5 mg/l: 0.8 - 1.2
BCF at 0.05 mg/l: <2.6
The BCF values indicate that the bioaccumulation potential of Dodecane-12-lactamis low. The calculated value is 35.35. Furthermore the measured log Kow is 2.7 (see chapter 4.7)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

BCF (aquatic species):
1.2 dimensionless
