Description of key information

The partition coefficient Log Kow was estimated using EPIWIN KOWWIN Verson 1.68. The estimated value is 15.2812. The partition coefficient could not be determined experimentally due to the extremely low water solubility of the test material.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):

Additional information

The Pow could not be done due to low solubility in water. Therefore, the Pow was predicted using software. The predicted log Pow is 15.28. The software used is KOWWIN and uses a "fragment constant” to predict the log Pow. In a "fragment constant" method, a structure is divided into fragments (atom or larger functional groups) and coefficient values of each fragment or group are summed together to yield the log P estimate. KOWWIN’s methodology is known as an Atom/Fragment Contribution (AFC) method. Coefficients for individual fragments and groups were derived by multiple regression of 2447 reliably measured log P values.
