The homologous components of this UVCB substance possess ionizable amino and hydroxy groups whose estimated pKa values are calculated (amino groups) to be 1.3 and 6.3 for the lowest- as well as 1.4 to 6.3 and 14.1 to 14.7 for the highest molecular weitght homologues, as well as for (hydroxy groups) 14.7 (one group) for the lowest and 14.1 - 14.7 for the highest molecular weight homologue (total of four hydroxy groups). Pka values < 2 and > 14 are considere to be irrelevant for the chemical safety assessment.)
