Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Long-term exposure to sediment organisms is not expected (log Koc of -0.12).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006, Annex X, Column 2, long-term toxicity testing on sediment organisms shall be proposed by the registrant if the results from the chemical safety assessment indicate the need to investigate further the effects of the test compound. As sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate has no potential to adsorb to solid particels (log Koc: -0.12) and is readily biodegradable, a chronic exposure of sediment dwelling organisms can not be expected.

Considering this information and animal welfare, testing for this endpoint is not deemed necessary.
