Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Diglycerol was not tested itself, however, the acute toxicity of Polyglycerol-3 (read across substance partly consisting of diglycerol, see read across report in section 13 of IUCLID) to water fleas (Daphnia magna) was tested according to OECD test guideline 202 at nominal concentrations of 0, 63, 125, 250, 500 and 1000 mg/l in ISO water. Test vessels were filled with 200 ml test solution (each concentration in triplicate). To each test vessels 10 water fleas were added. After 24 and 48 hours the water fleas were examined and immobility was recorded. Analysis of the test substance showed that the concentration remained stable during the test period, and the measured concentrations were in agreement with the nominal. The calculations were based on nominal values. Based on the

results it can be concluded that the EC50 after 48 hours was > 1000 mg/l. .
