Description of key information

At ~ 230°C temperature decomposition is initiated.

Additional information

Thermal stability of the test substance was assessed by using Differential Scanning Calirometry (DSC). The test substance was placed in a closed glass jar and heated up at a heat rate of 3 K/min.

At onset = 219°C (peak = 221°C), endothermic melting was observed (energy: +170 J/g). At onset = 227°C (peak = 232°C), exothermic decomposition was initiated. A decomposition energy of - 110 J/g was set free. From 250°C - 340°C, endothermic effects were observed which were likely to be connected to gaseous releases.

There is no threat of self-ignition of the test substance.
