Additional information

Based on information from its constituents and on read-across substances, ‘soaps, stocks, vegetable oil, acidulated’ is expected to be readily biodegradable. Its main constituents, unbranched fatty acids and triglycerides are easily broken down by a range of microorganisms such as gram-positive or gram-negative bacteria, a number of fungi and yeasts as well as several types of algae, regardless of their functional groups and chain length. ‘Soaps, stocks, vegetable oil, acidulated’ is therefore unlikely to persist in the aquatic or terrestrial environments.
