Description of key information

Results from short-term invertebrate toxicity studies with several invertebrate species show that DINP does not cause toxicity at its maximum achievable aqueous concentrations investigated in these tests (i.e. in excess of water solubility).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

All acute freshwater and marine invertebrate studies are considered to be valid. The overall conclusion is that DINP does not cause any acute toxicity to invertebrates within the water solubility of the test material.
