Description of key information

The 48–hr-acute toxicity of the test item to Daphnia magna was studied under static conditions. Daphnids were exposed to control and test item at nominal concentration of 32, 58, 100, 180 and 320 mg/L for 48 hr.  Immobilization were observed daily.  The 48–hr EC50 was 83 mg/L. The 48–hr EC0 based on immobilization was 32 mg/L.
This study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirements for an acute toxicity study with freshwater invertebrates.
