Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In vitro, TCPP was displayed negative results in Ames test, cytotoxicity test, gene mutation test and Comet Assay test.

In vivo,TCPP did not induce an increase in chromosomal aberrations in a rat bone marrow cytogenetics assay. However, this study was not in full compliance with current regulatory guidelines. In an in vivo Comet assay, TCPP did not induce DNA damage in the livers of treated rats.

Based on the weight of available information,TCPP is considered to be non-genotoxic in vivo and a conclusion is drawn for this endpoint for all exposure scenarios.

Short description of key information:
Negative results with and without metaboliste activation system in vitro and in vivo tests indicated that the TCPP is not considered as a mutageic substance.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on the existing reuslts in vitro and in vivo genetic toxicity tests, it indicated that the TCPP was not considered as a mutagenic substance and non-classification is appropriated.
