To assess the chronic toxicity of the test substance towards fish valid study results are not available. The only available test was considered as invalid, because the results refered to mortality and sublethal effects showed no clear concentration-effect-relations.
The available acute tests indicate only slight toxic effects of the test substance towards fish and algae in which algae is approx. by a factor of ten more sensitive than fish. Based on this information, there is no indication that fish may be more sensitive towards chronic effects of the test substance than algae are. Therefore a new valid chronic study with fish would not provide any additional information improving the risk assessment significantly.
For this reason, and animal welfare, a chronic study with fish is not provided.
