Additional information

Short-term aquatic toxicity:

Reliable short-term toxicity tests are available for fish, algae and for daphnia are available.

All three fish studies exposed the fish for 96h in a static system. Respective LC50 ranged from 14.8 to 21.1 mg/L. As all studies were of sufficient reliability, the study with lowest LC50 (Clariant 93.0432), i.e. 14.8 mg/L, was assigned as the key study.

In the one available acute daphnia study, Daphnia Magna were exposed for 48h in a static system. The LC50 was 7.7 mg/L.

In the one available algae study, the 72h-LC50 for growth rate was 16.06 mg/L

Long-term aquatic toxicity:

Reliable long-term toxicity tests are available for the two trophic levels algae and daphnia.

In the algae study the growth rate EC50 (72h) of the test substance was 16.06 mg/L, while the NOEC was 1.80 mg/L.

In the daphnia reproduction test, the 21-days NOEC regarding reproduction of the test substance was determined to be 1.3 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms:

A reliable study assessing the toxicity to microorganisms is available.

Based on the respiration rate, the EC50 to activated sludge was determined to be 212.3 mg/L .
