Any other information on results incl. tables

Sublethal observations / clinical signs:

Maximum concentration tested causing no mortality: 215 mg/l

Minimum concentration tested causing 100 % mortality: 464 mg/l

In the test concentrations of 464 and 1000 mg/L the pH was 3.0 and 2.5. An additional test with 1000 mg/L and pH adjustment to 7.5 showed no mortality. It can be concluded that the toxic effect of the test substance is only caused by its acidic reaction.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
not specified
Conclusions:
Based on this result the test item is not subject for classification as toxic for fish.
Executive summary:

Based on the results of this study the NOEC for acute toxicity to fish is determined to be 215 mg/l. If the acidic solution of the test substance is neutralized, no mortality is found up to a test concentration of 1000 mg/L.
