PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Persistence Assessment

Ready biodegradability was investigated in a well documented study according to OECD guideline 301B. The test substance reached 71% degradation within 28 days and the 10 day-window was met. Therefore, the substance is readily biodegradable and can not be classified as persistent.

Bioaccumulation Assessment

Due to the very low log pO/W: -4.6 the substance has a very low potential for bioaccumulation. The log PO/Wof the substance is very much lower than the threshold value of the screening criterion (log PO/W<4.5). The B-criterion is not fulfilled.

Toxicity Assessment

The substance is non toxic to mammalian and aquatic organisms. The substance is not classified for environmental toxicity nor as CMR or STOT-RE H372 /H373. It can be concluded that the substance has no toxic properties.

Likely routes of exposure:

The submission substance is not PBT or vPvB. Therefore no emission characterization is required.
