Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two short-term tests under static conditions were conducted with Daphnia magna. In the key study from 2003 which was conducted according to OECD 202 and GLP and with analytical monitoring of the test concentrations (2003-0174-DGO), the following values are reported: EC0 (48 h) 250 mg/L, EC50 (48 h) 340 mg/L and EC100 (48 h) 500 mg/L. Nominal concentrations were used for evaluation because the measured concentrations were ≥ 80% of nominal values. A limit test was carried out in 2007 according to GLP standard and the Japanese Circular on Test Methods of New Chemical Substances, equivalent to OECD guideline 202 (2007 -0318 -FGO). This study supports the findings mentioned above as it reports the EC0 (48 h), EC50 (48 h) and EC100 (48 h) for Daphnia magna to be greater than 100 mg/L (corresponding to 99.8 mg/L mean measured concentration).
