Conclusion on classification

Under the CLP (EC No. 1272/2008), because DPGDB has a Log Pow < 4.5 (3.9) and is readily biodegradable, it was not classified for the environment. However, with the 2nd ATP of the CLP (EU No. 286/2011) the criteria for hazard classification has changed where the classification may be based upon long-term chronic endpoints. Under the revisions from the 2nd ATP of the CLP, the hazard classification of DPGDB is revised effective December 1, 2012 to Chronic Category 3 based upon being readily biodegradable and having adequate chronic toxicity data available indicating a chronic NOEC for the algae of > 0.1 to 1.0 mg/L.
