Additional information

No experimental data on stability testing are available for tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether (TPnB). According to the AOPwin atmospheric degradation model, TPnB will be rapidly degraded by photochemical processes in air. Half-lives for the reaction with hydroxyl radicals are in the range of 1.9 hours (0.16 day; half-life based on 12 hour photoday and 1.5 x 10e6 OH/cm3).

TPnB does not contain functional groups that are susceptible to hydrolysis. According to REACH Annex VIII, hydrolysis testing is not needed for substances that are readily biodegradable, and thus undergo ultimate degradation in the environment.
