Description of key information

The surface tension of pure, neat tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether was determined according to the Du Nouy ring method using a digital tensiometer. The surface tension of tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether was determined with 29.9 mN/m at 20 °C and 29.7 mN/m at 25 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
29.9

Additional information

The test substance was tested undiluted. However, based on the chemical structure of tripropylene glycol n-butyl ether no surface activity is predicted for aqueous solutions.
