Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: GLP guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 102 (Melting point / Melting Range)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
thermal analysis
Melting / freezing pt.:
-5 °C
Atm. press.:
1 013 hPa

Observed thermic processes:

The test item also shows a glass transition at about -88°C followed by the exothermic recrystallization at about -10°C peak

temperature (Test 1).

In order to survey the thermic behaviour of the test item a preliminary DTA/TG-test (non-GLP) was run up to 700°C.

An endothermic peak starting at about 100°C with the weight loss up to 100% shows the vaporization / decomposition of the test item.

The estimated accuracy is ± 1°C.
