Description of key information

The long-term toxicity of cyclohexylamine to aquatic invertebrates (Dapnia magna) was assessed in a reproduction test, performed according the OECD Guideline 211. After 21 days of exposure a NOEC for reproduction of 1.6 mg/l was determined (MITI, 1997).

Additional information

According to the OECD Guideline 211, the pH of the test solutions should be within the range 6 to 9. Only pH values of the highest concentration slightly exceed that range with a maximal pH of 9.1. Nevertheless, that sample should not be included in test evaluation, as 60 % of parental Daphnia were dead at test termination after 21 d.
