Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Koc > 3.6, QSAR (This value however is not considered as relevant because the "substance as such" is not considered to adsorb to soil) Oudhoff (2007)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test material is not soluble in an appropriate solvent and therefore it was not possible to apply the conventional HPLC method (EC C.19 and OECD 121) for the determination of the adsorption coefficient (Koc)of the test material. As an alternative, an estimated value on theKocand log Kocof the test material wasdetermined by QSAR.

According to information on the water solubility of the test material i.e. < 1 mg/L, the substance was classified as "predominantly hydrophobic". For this chemical class, the log Koc is given as:

log Koc = 0.81 log Pow + 0.10

The logarithm of the partition coefficient (log Pow) of the test mateiral is > 0.564. Using this value, the log Koc of the test mateiral was calculated to be > 0.56. It corresponds with a Koc value of > 3.6.

This value however is not considered as relevant because the "substance as such" is not considered to adsorb to soil.
