Description of key information

No study was required to determine the Koc for this substance. However, a screening exercise for assessing risk to soil and sediment organisms requires a Koc to be derived using equilibrium partitioning theory, therefore the standard algorithm for non-hydrophobic substances was used (see ECHA Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.16)

Additional information

Koc was derived using the following calculations:

Koc = 1.26 x Kow0.81 / 1000

= 1.26 x 5.750.81 / 1000

= 0.01

Kow (n-octanol/water partition coefficient) = 5.75
