Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to the calculated Log Koc between 4.1 - 4.6 amides, C16-C18 (even numbered) has an adsorption/desorption potential to soil and sediment.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No experimental studies investigating the adsorption/desorption of amides, C16-C18 (even numbered) are available. Because the substance is a composition of different homologues, the adsorption/desorption potential was calculated for representative components using SRC KOCWIN v2.00.

The QSAR calculation indicate that the components of amides, C16-C18 (even numbered) are expected to adsorb to suspended solids and sediment based upon the log Koc between 4.1 - 4.6 as calculated for the uncharged molecule.
