Description of key information

non oxidising

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Oxidising properties of dimethyl phosphonate were determined according to UN-RTDG, Manual of Tests and Criteria, Test O.2. The substance has no oxidising properties. (Heinz U and Michel L (2010))

Justification for classification or non-classification

In UN-RTDG Test O.2 the mean time of pressure rise from 6.9 to 20.7 bar was longer for dimethyl phosphonate than for the reference mixture. Therefore according to the criteria of the CLP regulation the substance has no oxidising properties.
