Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The biodegradation of the test material was assessed in tests that assessed both ready and inherent biodegradability.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test material reached 40.6% biodegradation based on CO2 production after 29 days in a U.S. EPA guideline Aerobic Aquatic Biodegradation test using an adapted inoculum. In an OECD 301D Closed Bottle Test, the test material reached 7.1% biodegradation in 28 days. In a shake-flask test using unacclimated inoculum from a municipal sewage treatment plant, CO2 production ranged from non-detected to 22% after 35 days. The results from these studies are consistent with an inherent primary biodegradability description based on current OECD guidelines.
